Just before I exploded, or imploded or whatever one does in these cases .... the mail came. I am in! I got into my first choice school and my not-so-waterproof mascara is all down my face. Now my fingers are crossed that I get into the campus closer to my home.

I am SO glad I did not give up and drop my o chem class when my step-dad almost died in Feb or when my son broke his back. I was so ready to just let it all go. Whew! Now just 2 more weeks of O chem and the fun starts!!

Its going to take a bit to sink in.

Congratulations on getting in to your first choice!!!! That's awesome. And congratulations for hanging in there and surviving what must have been an incredibly stressfull time for you. Waiting for the letter is bad enough, especially that last week or so when you know it should be coming any day, and you just want to KNOW. Having to cope with the wait after all that other stress must have been tough.

I hope you've got some plans for celebrating in between ochem study sessions.

Way to go girl!! You are a very strong woman and don't let yourself forget how hard this was and all that you went through so you'll remember how bad you want it. It's not going to be easy, but you've faced some very difficult things already. You got this!!

I put a post for you on another thread congratulating you on your acceptance but I just wanted to say one more time.... CONGRATULATIONS!!! I'm in Northern CA and it gives me hope that you got in. Now the fun begins! Keep us updated and let us know how your NS is.

And on my behalf, when you're in NS or start working as an RN, go get those crazy scrubs with the cool designs on them! LOL. Man, I swear I looked up on some website that they have some cute Hello Kitty, Paul Frank and (surprise, surprise) Baby Phat brand scrubs. If you're going to be working those tedious shifts, you might as well do it in style

PS: I even saw a Hello Kitty sphygmomanometer online! Go google it! (sorry I have a huge obsession with Sanrio LOL)
