Sep 6, 201015 yr I'm lucky that my husband is paying for my education, but I would call your financial aid department and see what they have to offer you. Good luck to you.
Sep 6, 201015 yr Author i guess i am having to go on grants..financial aid,,scholarships etcNO savings///no inheritence etcI know i can get the form for financial aid at my school....i just HOPE that with that it can cover most if not allI dont know where else to look at for grants....etc.I will not be able to go if I have to pay now
Sep 6, 201015 yr I'm planning to rely heavily on loans, but I'm only doing a 13-month program and am hoping to be able to work at least part-time (I've been working full-time as I've gone through my pre-reqs in order to pay tuition).Make sure you sit down and talk with a financial aid councellor. If you're in the U.S. you'll want to fill out the FAFSA in order to see what federal loans and grants you qualify for. If you need more after that, financial aid can help you find private loans (as well as scholarships - apply for everything you can, it can add up!)

Sep 6, 201015 yr Author Student loans are paying for my education.i feel weird asking people about money things...I feel intrusive...BUT if Im not overstepping my bounds...could you tell me if the loans covered a BIG part or all?Im afraid after wanting this so much...cost will hold me back
Sep 6, 201015 yr I go to community college, where the cost of tuition is pretty low. I got grants that paid for most of my tuition and books. I've taken out some subsidized student loans to cover living expenses because I'm not working right now.
Sep 6, 201015 yr Author Thank you guys for being so open with meI have one last question.....lol.I have been to college before...but it was just a few courses at my CC and i payed my selfanyway.....do they(places that give/loan you money...send the funds TO YOU or your school?Im wondering too if there is any such thing as EXTRA,,,,Im not trying to be greedy,,,just curious.....does anything provide OVER the course cost to cover books,,,scrubs...supplies etc?I would never ever abuse anything I get.....I hope i dont sound bad
Sep 6, 201015 yr I understand how you feel but its a natural question. I worry a lot about it, I go to a private school but its quite a bit lower in price then most and only a bit higher then the local universities by me. I get financial aid, loans, and I am just now applying for scholarships since I am about to start my nursing courses and will be fulltime, I've also raised my gpa quite high so I am hopeful. I think education is expensive but its always worth it in the long run. I figure if I can keep my debt below what I am hoping to make in one year then its definately worth it but the debt has made me think twice about going forward with my master's, I don't want to be in debt forever. Also inrespomse to your last post-yes I get extra money. I have two little boys and I pay my cousin to baby-sit for me when I am in class..I also use my money to buy books because that costs a lot.
