I hate my job

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Okay, so the wait for the letter was unbearable, and now that I'm in I'm finding that the wait for school to begin is becoming unbearable! I currently work as a receptionist in a dentist office and I hate it! I love being in the medical field but I hate doing office work all day. :typing

Although I know that come September I will be leaving, so I just have to stick it out, I don't know if I can wait that long!! Anyone else stuck in a job they hate right now? I would love to hear from other people that dread going to work everyday so I know I'm not alone. :D

Oh and congrats to everyone that received acceptance letters and good luck to those who are still waiting!!

Yes, i quit yesterday. Although it was a 7$ job at a clothing store part-time..I hated it. I was just waiting on my CNA but I couldn't wait anymore.

i've read on the boards here that i/we should enjoy our time before we start ns.

Hate my job mostly because other than the paycheck I don't see the point of it. I have so much more fun during clinicls just for the CNA part of the pre-reqs I have to do that I have even dropped down my hours from 40 to 32 and will be going down to 24 before I actally finally can just be done with where I work now. mainly waiting on a CNA hospital job or NS school to start. which ever comes first.

I can relate, I've been in the administrative field for 20 years and can't WAIT for the career change. It's very depressing to think I have to put up with it for about "4 MORE YEARS!!!!!" Just starting pre-reqs this summer and hopefully will apply for nursing school in 2010.

I wish I could quit and go to school full time, but I am a single parent with a car note and mortgage. Anyways best of luck to everyone and no matter what we must keep our eye on the prize

I know exactly how you feel. I was working 20 yrs in an office environment. Fortunately I start my prerequisites in May . I am chomping at the bit. I too am eager to just get started.

I love my job, and hate my job depends on the day you ask me LOL. I am a full time mom, and full time student, and sometimes the two don't mesh well. My youngest is 12 and life is pretty easy with him. My two oldest are teens, and life with them is a rollercoster of up's and down's with lots of drama. Never a dull moment!!!!! My oldest knows everything in the world their is to know and is never wrong, and he is driving me insane. I tried to turn in my resignation this morning lol, but they won't let me quit.....so I guess I will try to ride it out until it grows out of it.

i totally understand, my daughter will be turning 16 in 3 weeks and the attitude she has is out of this world. school is going to be a breeze compared to her.:banghead:
