I received my acceptance email from Alvin community college just now. I have untill 8th of Nov to decide. Who else got accepted for spring 2013?

    I got a 42 on my act compo for engl and reading, I have a 3.9 for all the classes I've taken. But I think the ADN department only calculated the required classes which should be 3.85. I've completed all required class @ alvin and just nutrition class which is not required. Thank you all. Where can I take cheap immunization shots without insurance in houston?

    It used to 36 but when the SAT added a writing section I believe the ACT did as well changing both grading systems. My graduating class in 2005 was the last to use the old grading for SAT for sure.

    You can go to county clinics for immunizations. Most often, you can find one that bases what you pay on your income. I was also accepted to the program at Alvin so...nice to meet you classmate!

    I live about 15 minutes from the campus so I'm fairly close. We have orientation on the 7th of December so maybe you can talk to some of the other students to see if they are willing. I plan to do my CPR on the 17th at San Jac because I'm already on campus there. Also, did you happen to see the list of places to go for immunizations in the packet? The clinic in Brazoria county is free if you have no insurance.
