I got second interview!!! now what?

A second interview is a very good thing! Congrats! You can probably expect more of the same type of questions (although probably not as many). It's a little more relaxed atmosphere (but stay your most professional) and it's more of a chance for this third person to get to know your personality. Good luck to you and just keep doing what you did in the first interview! There's a reason they are asking you to come back.

Relax, remember its just a conversation. It may help to write down some responces to common type questions: how do you handle conflict with a coworker, why are you interested in this area of nursing...ect Its always good to make a statement, and provide an example to back it up. For example, I am very interested in this position because I had positive experience during my OB/LD clinical rotation, and use an example from your experience... Try to use previous work or clinical experience for your all your responces.

Be prepared, confident and relaxed. Sell yourself, tell them why you are the right candidate for the position, make a list before hand so you are prepared. Exp: I am eager to join the team here, I am a real people person, I work well with others, I am compassionate about providing excellent pt care, I would appreciate this opportunity to utiilze my skills. I will make a positive contribution to the team...

And ask questions about the position: are there opportunites for advancement, describe a typical work day, how receptive are the other nurses to new grads, is this a positive learning environment, will I be assigned the same preceptor for orientation, ect....

Before you go in, look at yourself in the mirror and confirm to yourself that this is the job you've always wanted, you are the right person for this position, believe in yourself and you will do great!

ps: dont forget to get the names and titles of each person you interviewed with and follow up with a thank you note!

Therefore, this time around you should be more relaxed and able to handle this last interview with ease. They are definitely interested in you so go there and impress them, the second interview with my experiences is usually about the Clinical aspect...some institutions they do it other way round, start with clinical interview and them personal interview and others start with personal and then clinical...which everway...break a leg, be cool, show them what you got and sell it to them...good luck!
