I got my letter....

and I didn't get in. They take 60 out of 300+ for their accelerated program. I almost feel naiive for thinking they would accept me (because I'm an alumn for one thing)!

I'm looking into another accelerated program immediately. This one has just as great credentials and offers a one year and two year program option. Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

Good luck to everyone out there. Keep on keepin' on!

Good luck, Kathyz! Don't feel naive for applying, you never really know.

The fact that you are getting back up after falling down is great. Keep pressing on! :wink2:

Good luck Kathyz!

I didn't get accepted on my first try either, but I strongly feel everyone gets in when they are suppose to.

Good luck with your other applications now, or for the next semester.

I'm waiting on my letter to see if I get in this time around....either way, I'm not giving up, and I hope you don't either.

It will happen!

I'm sorry you didn't get your first choice. Don't give up!

Keep that positive attitude and don't let this get you down. I'll keep you in my thoughts. Good luck!

Fingers crossed for you Kathy!

Good Luck! I'm sure everything will work out for the best.;)

Hi Kathy!!

I'm so sorry you didn't get the letter you wanted. If this is your number 1 pick, I recommend you write them a letter, asking you to reconsider you.

I didn't get into my dream school in December. I emailed the director of admissions and asked what were the reasons. After a couple months of feeling sorry for myself/figuring out what to do, I wrote the admissions committee a letter asking them to reconsider me, and gave explanations for the weaknesses of my app. I gave additional numbers for references.

(edit: oh yeah, I guess I should add that I got the call last week that I was accepted! :D)

Good luck!! I can tell you really want this, and anything's possible!! ;)

Sorry you did not get into the program. I feel sure you will be accepted into a program soon.

heysmalls

:o Hang in there, Kathyz. I think Peachy has a wonderful idea; I second her advice. Write a high-powered letter and tell them why you're the best woman for the slot!

Good luck and keep us posted; I will be thinking about you!

;)

Thanks everyone for your thoughtful comments. I appreciate it. My mom is taking me for a haircut and dinner tonight to cheer me up. Actually I'm fine. I need to submit my materials for the 4/1 deadline at this second school so I'm pretty busy. I told her I'll be down there everyday until they take me! I believe this second school would actually be a better fit. I'll keep you all posted.

(BTW, she loves my hair short and it's too long for her now; hence the haircut!! And I have a big Micro test Tues and need to study but she's like, "Oh, I'm sure you know the material"!#@?)
