Hi to those who remember, i was on the waiting list, and rec'd the phone call.

I am in !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now, what do I do with my kids?? lol

school begins at 7:45, school bus comes at 8:00 I have to leave at 7:00

and 3 year old didn't get into pre school.

I better get some plans in order.

First day of school is Aug. 30th.

anyone apply for a pell grant?? is it hard to get??

Congratulations!!! I recieved the pell grant for the four years that it took to get my Bachelor's degree. It is easy to get as long as you apply early enough and you meent the income requirements. I'm sad that I will not be able to apply for it again to help pay for nursing school. Once you have a Bachelor's you are no longer eligible.

About the children, do you think you might have someone (friend or relative) watch the toddler until you try to get him into preschool again?

You still have until Aug 30th, so hopefully it gives you enough time so that you can sort your new life, and enjoy the family

Pell grant: You need to talk to your financial aid officer at your school. It is awarded based on your financial need. Good luck

I am actually waiting for that call now. The nursing school said that if a student doesnt confirm their seat by July 15, the list is pulled out. So 4 more weeks to go.......

I got the Pell Grant... I start my summer classes on the 5th.. It is defnitely based on your financial needs, but it is also limited.. They keep accepting people for the grant as long as they have the funding... So if you are going to try for that, you need to try now... Not to mention when you apply for it, then you wait for a SAR (student aid report) to come back to the college (and to you), and then you wait for the Award letter to come..Once you get it in the mail, you take it to the college and then you are able to get your books, etc...

Not sure if this is how it is everywhere, but it is how it is here....
