Well, after three long years I am finally finished with grad school! Through Graceland University's ADN to MSN program I have now earned a BSN with a minor in Spanish and an MSN in advanced family nursing practice. It has been really tough, not just for me, but for my wife and son. I could not have completed this endeavor without the support and help from my wife. I have received a substantial amount of my inspiration from you guys here in the distance learning forum. We have struggled together. I have sought (and given) guidance here, and this has been crucial in my success. Thank you all.
I will be taking a 10 day vacation including a 7 day cruise! Sweet. Then it will be time to study for the boards.
Also, sometime in January/February, Lisa (LunahRN) and I will be updating our CPNE notes with some extra math related material.

YEAH Ivanh3!!! Congrats to you and your family. Enjoy your cruise, hug and thank your wife and son. The CPNE notes that you and Lisa did helped me pass CPNE. I am now an RN on a med/surg-rehab unit, enrolled in EC MSN program, but thinking about changing schools for financial reasons.
If you and Lisa need any contributions on the new project I would like to volunteer and pay it forward.
Again, congrats.

Thanks guys! I just came back from cruise. It was great. All I did was sleep (in bed every night by 8 pm) and eat (and eat, and eat). I gained 11 pounds and feel rested like I have not in years.
After I submitted my final assignment I was running around the house yelling "woo hoo" like a madman. It was such a release! Reminded me of when I was sitting in my car in the hospital parking lot after just passing the CPNE and shouting "woo hoo" at the top of my lungs. All of the passers-by must have thought I was nuts.
Well almost three years after that last post I am happy to report that I just wrapped up my doctorate of nursing practice (DNP) at the University of Alabama. It has been a long journey, but it was worth every second of it. For those of you who are proceeding forward with Excelsior, just remember to keep your eyes on the prize. It will happen for you...and it will be just the beginning.
