Humanities Req...what did you take?

Published

I'm taking ethics this semester and wondered what everyone else took/will take for their requirement. This class is a tough one (my prof is a bit of an egomaniac) but I thought it would help me brush up on my logic skills for those wonderful nursing exams...time will tell!

I took ethics, as well for my humanities course. (And, I also had a bit of an egomaniac as a teacher.) I took the course several years ago but I remember thoroughly enjoying the material.

Good luck to you!

I am taking Survey of British Literature. I thought this course would be a piece of cake but as it turns out, is NOT. lol my luck.I thought I would ace this and have trouble in math. Im doing good in math and tomorrow is our 1st british lit quiz so we'll see.........

I wanted to take a good one and I did. I took mine on movies. I took it a few years ago and not sure of what it was exactly called. It was fun. I just had my pick of movies and wrote a paper on them.

I took Humanities of the Americas, and it was the only one that fit into my schedule, I ended up really liking the class alot:p

I took Intro to Humanities online. That was the semester I had my daughter, so I needed something I could stay home and take.

I haven't taken mine yet, but I am planning on taking Into to Art. I think that it might be interesting studying about paintings and the history. After reading about taking one on movies, I might have to reconsider.

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

I first took philosophy, but ended up dropping that class, because I quickly figured out that I did not quite possess the intense introspective thinking skills required for that course.

I took American literature over the summer since it fulfills the humanities requirement, and received an 'A' grade. I've also taken theater appreciation and human relations.

I"m taking Humanities/ Comparative World Cultures. It's basically comparing between China and Europe...kinda interesting....so far I'm doing well!

Specializes in Acute Care Psych, DNP Student.

Next semester, I'm going to take a Middle Eastern Humanities/Understanding Islam class.

It seems like our two cultures are colliding so badly, the least I can do is understand it better.

I took Comparative Religions. It was an easy A+ and very interesting too!

Specializes in being a Credible Source.

Music appreciation. Unfortunately, I didn't appreciate it at the time. (Makes my moniker a bit ironic, eh?) I was just too busy at the time.
