I think sleep is very important to reduce stress and be able to focus properly. I always make sure I get at least 8 hours of sleep. To achieve this, I utilize my time during the day better, which means less time aimlessly staring at Facebook and more time studying. I was surprised how much time I had to spend with friends and do non-nursing related things when I gave up video games, the constant checking of Facebook, and texting/Facebooking while studying.

I don't do Facebook, can u believe it?

That does not mean I don't spend time doing no-nursing things, because I do. Should be sleeping instead!

A word about highlighting. I don't get people that highlight all text in their book. What's the point? I yellow main ideas, sometimes just single words... yet some have time to do the whole book...

Well.... I should be sleeping now but am on AN looking at the current threads....

I am a social media ADDICT..and it seriously affects my studies AND my sleep lol. I study, only to keep staring at Facebook and Instagram every 10 mins & covering MUCH less material than I'd like to by the time I get sleepy...at which point I get ready for bed and spend at least another 30-45 mins in bed in the dark looking at Facebook, Instagram & Pinterest of course. It's horrible! Once my ABSN program starts though, I am sure that I'll have to simply deactivate every account or I'll never get anything done. :nailbiting:

Haha, the comics always make me laugh... :) I agree, sleep is incredibly important!! Try to get at least 7-8 hours a night. Trying to study when you're tired is so frustrating and counterproductive.

During school finding sleep is not a problem, but since its the summer and I live in a college town...well you know I've been having a lot of fun most nights. Better to do it now and get it out of my system before school starts!

I went once 4 days/nights without sleeping, I was sooooo stressed out I couldn't sleep, when I finally went to sleep on the fifth night, I dreamt that I was talking to a pizza!!!

I am guilty to highlighting about 80% of my book.

However there is a method and a reason to my highlighting madness.:sneaky:

Not a student anymore bit I always sleep horrible. I have been a bad sleeper my whole life.

Totally agree with you... give up the virtual stuff (facebook, instagram, etc) and friends, family and life in general gets more vibrant! More time to do tons of stuff!
