I just wanted to post a quick unofficial Poll as to who you will be voting for in the US Election.

This thread was only intended to be a poll. Not a political discussion. Feel Free to reply with your choice if you want, but please no political arguments, slams or jabs :) Lets keep this a clean and simple poll ;)

I just thought that it would be interesting to find out where all the AN'ers fall and see if we are consistent with other polls out there?

Oh yeah, you go baby! This is certainly the time to dance.:yeah::yeah::yeah:

I am happy beyond words this morning. It almost brings me to tears to see that my vote counted for something, and that there is a possibility of change. People may not agree with me, and I'm sure a lot don't, but this is a proud day for our country, and a proud day for me. Whether you voted for Obama or not, this is the start of a new era for us, ALL of us, and I can only hope that it will be a positive turn for our country and our international relations. I love a country where two of the main contenders were women, a hundred years after women were not even allowed to vote, and where a black man can become president less than fifty years after segregation was a legal and accepted practice.

God Bless America

Congratulations to Mr. Obama, Mr. Biden and all of their supporters.

Thanks to all who voted in this landmark election and to all of those who serve our country to defend our right to do so.

God Bless America and Her people.

I voted to support values and the constitution - I did not vote with my emotions or on short term issues/perspectives.

Yes, I agree completely. These considerations made Obama the obvious choice.

This is my favorite part of the speech:

"The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even in one term. But, America, I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there.

I promise you, we as a people will get there."

I pray for him, his family, and us because we are, and always will be, the United States of America...

I'm so thrilled that we have taken a new direction in this country. I look forward to seeing the great things President Elect Obama will do for us. I'm crossing my fingers that he'll be this generation's FDR and sweep into office with policy changes that will put the economy on a better track.

:clphnds:

I'm also glad that we are able to live in a country where we are allowed to debate our personal political views :smiley_abwithout fear of being arrested or killed for it (i.e. the recent Zimbabwe elections).

God Bless America, and I'm so proud of everyone that went out and voted (for either party).

oh my god, i felt the same way, but for the completely opposite reason, it will give us some time to not become a socialistic or (god forbid) communistic society and keep the country from falling apart until the next election, there is always hope for change, that's the great thing about this country.. btw, i am a democrat, i just don't support radicals or fanatics in any arena ,be it political or religious

I am elated that Obama will become our next president!!

hurrah! yes we did!!!

so be it.

ha, that's funny. I don't know what I would do if my husband had different political views than me. I pretty much forced him to go vote. I am glad that we have freedom to vote. It has been a long race, and I am glad that it is over. I may not be overly happy about the outcome, but at least it is over.

Denial

Anger

Bargaining

Depression

Acceptance

Who would have thought I could make it through all that in less than a day.
