HCC Spring 2017 Nursing Program

Anyone out there know if they are applying for the 2017 Nursing program for HCC (Hillsborough Community College)? I am! Just realized I want to do this so I'm taking A&P 1 and 2, microbiology, and sociology this summer. Apparently its called the crazy train! Anyone else doing something similar?

Y'all stop freaking me out, lol. :arghh:

I know 3 that aren't on here that have applied.

Analgesic see I never worked in a hospital setting only a nursing home so that's the biggest difference. Also RN get paid more at nursing homes than hospitals and they don't do anything but supervise usually.

Nursing home is ROUGH. I would get outta there if you can. It's night and day between a nursing home and the hospital. My parents wouldn't let me work in the nursing home. My mom started as a RN there and she knew it would be a bad experience.

Oh no Analgesic I don't work at a nursing home any longer lol I can't stand lazy workers and I hate doing everything. I think I'm just going to stick with not working for now and just focus on nursing school. Let's all keep our heads up and stay positive we have only 3 weeks left in September don't worry.

haha I don't blame you!!

Once we're in the nursing program we really do have a lot of more opportunities to find a job in the medical field . a doctors office told me he would hire me as a secretary in his office and I could build myself up while in school to be a RN in his office . so excited and this office works for st. Josephs hospital !

Your right Bellalinda because they know we will

be an asset once we finish nursing school. I think a doctors office is get for flexibility and benefits but what about your hospital experience? Also everyone all my info had been "recieved" as a posed to asap so I'm so

anxious hopefully they give us our letters the end of this month instead of October fingers crossed!

I emailed health science admission asking when we would receive letters just to confirm and they basically told me I need to stop contacting and wait lol they're prolly sick and tired of us already lol

Lol! Just a few more weeks! !!!!

Hey everyone. My documents have all been updated. What does everyone's completion date state on progress towards degree?

Mine says 09/05/16, so I don't know what that means since that was this past Monday. What's yours say?

09/29/16? Not sure if this means something or not.

Mine is 9/30 as well. I

Someone recently asked about those dates and posted this:

A lot of people are going into the progress towards degree and looking at the estimated completion date, and having a lot of anxiety about why this has not changed, and the completion date is this week (mine is the 3rd). So, I asked about that today. Your stuff under progress towards degree will not change to Nursing until you are actually selected and attend orientation and formally accept with the school. That estimation date listed has nothing to due with notification of selection. We all get notified the same time.
