I am in a BSN program in the US, and I will graduate in May. I don't know what specialty I will go into yet. I only know what I am NOT interested in, which is most of what you find in hospitals. I like pediatrics, psych, maternity, and community health. I'd love to work with high risk populations on health promotion, but basically haven't narrowed down where I'd like to start with that. ☺️ I originally went into school to become a midwife, but as nursing education introduces you to all different areas of healthcare, I realized there is a great big world out there ? I think midwifery is still a goal, but it might not be the only one.

How is the political climate there? I admit I know very little, and what I do know comes form the media, which may or may not paint a fair and accurate picture. Also, how is the cost of attending a university? Is it something that anyone could potentially afford? Is there help for those who cannot?
