Frustrated ..

So, i currently work in the ER as a tech. Im graduating in May, I applied for a position as an RN. Well, i interviewed and i felt it went really well (it was with a 4 person panel..eek). && they told me there was only one spot open. I just found out i wasn't selected.

Its kinda depressing. I really want to work there and stay in that dept as an RN..but i need to get hired there lol.

I know i have some time before i graduate, but it would be nice to have one less thing to worry about.

meh.

just a little vent/rant :(

don't give up :) it won't be long that there will be another spot open and you will be able to apply again. you'll have more experience under your belt by graduation time. they obviously considered you or else they wouldn't of have interviewed you!

good point. im not gonna give up, i applied/interviewed for 2 years before i got the job i have now. so im good at being persistent.

lol

thanks :)

awww don't worry I'm sure you'll get something and you already ahve the upper hand by working there and teh experience. So jealous you're graduating in May though ahahhhaaha. Congratulations!

Think how much more relaxed you'll be at your next interview. You've been there and done that. You know you'll be in front of a 4 person panel and will know the general questions. You'll have the upper hand!

Keep at it. Things may change by the time you graduate.

*hug*. I hope you find something before you graduate. Your ER tech experience is invaluable.

Stay positive! =) your persistence will pay off!

i hope so, thanks for all the positivity. :) I found out one of my coworkers didnt get the job either, and i was sure she did. So ive come to the realization that they gave it to an actual RN lol!.. which makes sense bc weve been a bit short on staff.

:sigh:

ya. school & a job needs to hurry up and get here. im worn out!

OT, but we were talking about pneumothorax in fundamentals yesterday, lol.
