flu shot

I got mine last month. My employer gives them to all employees free is we want them. I always get one, and never get sick from them--at least so far.

I rarely ever get sick, but it was free from my per diem, GI position, so why not! The nurse who gave it, made it totally painless...and no problems thus far:D!

I DID get the shot, but I've still been sick as a dog for the last week too.

Nasty cold

I did get mine a month ago. I have never had a flu shot before but this year all the staff in my NICU got the flu shot. We just gave it to each other at work.

Now we dont have to worry about giving our patients the flu. It is bad enugh to worry about RSV and the common cold.

Got mine a la former employer. One case of community aquired pneumonia and a warning from my doc to get the flu shot there after was all I needed for motivation. That and the former employer was strongly encouraging all nurses to get the vaccine. From what I have been reading this years strain did not get included in the vaccine but the vaccine will help minimize the severity if the case if you do get it. Predictions say it will be a very bad flu season and so far from what i have read 4 dead children with other hospitalized on vents spells B*A*D for me.

I got mine a couple of weeks ago. The only side effect was bit of a headache the next day. I live in Ontario so it was free.

I forgot to say that the only side effect that I had was a bit of tiredness and joint aches but that was it.
