First visit after spring break

Who had the over/under on 0838?

Epigastric stomach ache after not eating breakfast. Did not need to poop. Resolved with crackers, nurse water, and sympathy.

That's exactly what I told the sub!

Ummmm a 16 year old with blisters on bilateral heels, from wearing new shoes.... two days ago. Already covered in bandaids. Urgently needs new bandaids! Also a staff member who interrupted me on the phone to show me an invisible splinter in her foot. Uggggh I need more coffee.

5 more weeks until our Spring Break......not sure I will make it!

NURSE WATER :))))

It cures a variety of things. In the high school I had filtered water in a Brita pitcher and it was COLD nurse water. Here, the filter's on the tap so it's... cool-ish nurse water. But it still works!

I want to play, even though I'm late to the party! My assistant and I were placing bets on who would be first, and how long they had been sick. I'm in a high school, and school starts at 7:16. Our first visitor was at 8:13, for a student who had been having cold symptoms for a week. This student was taking meds at home, and doing everything correctly. I took a temp, and sent them back to class.

We've got weeks to go before Spring Break. I'll likely see a build up of visits prior to rather than right after.

I am now seeing the result of going somewhere for spring break and then returning. The viral illnesses contracted from near and far are making a lovely stew...

Spring break in 40 minutes.........

In the past when we spring break ended at Easter, I'd get a few kid who had too much chocolate and jelly beans on Monday (and that was elementary school).
I know the first kids in the door on Tuesday this time will be my three who will need their catheters put back. After that, I don't know.
