Finally had an interview! :)

:yeah:hello all,

i am so excited! 5 months after passing the nclex-rn, 49 online applications (locally and out of state), and 48 rejection emails/letters, i finally was contacted on friday dec 10 for an interview this morning at 8.30am for an internship beginning in january 2011. it was a panel interview, and i wasn't asked but maybe 2-3 behavioral type questions, the rest were just the usual interview questions. i felt the interview went well overall, but looking back i know i could have answered some of the questions more better. later in the day i wrote personal thank you cards and delivered them to the hospital. they are making a decision with the applicants by this thursday, and we will be contacted on friday if we are selected. i am so nervous, i hope i can make it till then. this will be a long week. thank you allnurses.com. i researched so many interview threads here and felt somewhat positive after my interview today. i'm praying for a phonecall and hope it all works out! :uhoh3: :)

thank you allnurses.com!! :tku:

sincerely,

Good luck to all...week b4 last I had 3 seperate interviews with 3 companies, nothing yet, today I had an interview with VA...hopefully we will all get some very good news for the holidays.

FYI - everyone should try their local public health departments (state job); also your state psych facility and the VA - they all hire new grads...just still waiting on my call - but I am really hoping for VA..:yeah:
