Cpne

Anybody know how long the wait is for the CPNE in NY state?

Featured Replies

I applied to Spac on March 26th. The wait was over 12 months. transferred application over to NPAC on April 25th, got a date for July 27-30th at Albany medical center within 1 month of transferring appliation over to NPAC. It allowed me about 3 months to study HARD!!!!

I applied in April and transferred my application from MPAC to NPAC in mid June, called NPAC to make sure it went thru and tested Aug 1st in Utica. At that time when I called she had like 10 different dates/sites for me to choose from.

My first date took 6 months, I re-tested (and passed) within 2.

Are you in the old curriculum or the new?

The old.

I'm just wondering if EC is trying to push the "old curriculum" through the CPNE first. I'm in the new.

I retest for my last nursing theory exam by mid October and will be CPNE eligible at that time.

I would love to test be Feb or March of 2009.

I don't think they care which curriculum you go through for the assignment of dates. I believe that situations in which a state imposes an impending deadline before EC's graduates are ruled ineligible for licensure, such as Maryland did not too long ago, then those students will be pushed to the front. However, that doesn't happen that often.

Otherwise, your best chance for testing in those months would be to apply for the NPAC or to try to get a cancellation date elsewhere. However, I applied May 19th for the Wisconsin sites in the MPAC, and I probably will test just before your desired test date, seeing how slow the MPAC is.

Thank you! I have to stay in NY or PA due to work and family obligations. I live in the Binghamton, NY area. I hope to test in Utica or Syracuse.

I'd go up to the NPAC maybe, but I know the flying out there would spook me more than the test itself. I'm irrational like that. :D
