  1. Nope I don't think anyone has got endorsed yet. I mailed mine in at the first first of January and haven't heard a thing. Everything has been pending on my application since the day they received it. It says on the waiver form that the maximum time they have to make a decision is 60 days. So I am counting down and if I don't hear something soon I am resorting to getting a lawyer! I will not let them win this battle, I have worked to hard and spent to much money to let them get by w/ this. I would like to hear from any others that have applied for endorsement.
  2. i am with you oeue2007. i say we fight this to the end!!!! a class action lawsuit may be the best option. i am not giving up on this!!!! i am tired of being a rn who can't use the "title" in her own state bc someone is on a power trip and don't care who's lives they are affecting!!!! they will not get away with this. we have to all come together and fight for our rights. we all worked hard for this degree and should be able to use it!!!
  3. I was wondering the same thing!!!!! I have a three hour drive to macon and if we can't even go in the room then what is the point!!! Gas is to expensive to not even get to hear what is said! If anyone has any info on this please let me know so I don't waste my time driving 3 hours when I could be studying. THANKS!!
  4. I applied to Spac on March 26th. The wait was over 12 months. transferred application over to NPAC on April 25th, got a date for July 27-30th at Albany medical center within 1 month of transferring appliation over to NPAC. It allowed me about 3 months to study HARD!!!!
  5. Traci when did you finish all your degree requirements? I am just wondering bc I am waiting on my graduation status to be updated. It seems like it has been an eternity since my CPNE (only July 30th but still). How long after your completion date was posted, did you receive your ATT? And what state did you apply for licensure in? Thanks!
  6. Amen to that!!!! We have students that come on our floor ONCE A WEEK NOW!!! Then they come up and sit in the break room, lurk in the nursing station, and do the absolute BARE minimum bc the teacher is with the one student that is giving meds for the ONLY time of the semester. They dont want to LEARN bc they are under the impression that they are going to be RN's so they won't have to do bed baths are clean people up. (YEAH RIGHT, not how it works in the REAL WORLD) Then when the new grads come in.....WHoops!! They don't know how to do a darn thing. I am 100% sure that these students could NOT pass the CPNE!!! AND WE ARE NOT WORTHY FOR A GA LICENSE bc WHY??? When you do an online program, you can get away with this kinda stuff. If you aren't studying your tail off then you will FAIL the NC test and fail the CPNE. You can sit around and not study on your OWN FREE TIME, but you will throw $260 per test or $1800 down the drain!!!! I hope the board has a change of heart or we are left out to dry!!!! This is so unfair.
  7. Also is the same letter posted on the GA BON website today!!! They are going to send this universal letter to everyone that writes in with their concerns. THESE PEOPLE ARE HEARTLESS. I doubt she will open a single email or letter that we are sending in with our HELPLESS PLEAS! This is going to cause me to have an MI at 24 yrs. old. I called them today to ask why when I called them on Monday 8/4/2008 did someone tell me that I would just apply for endorsement to GA as soon as I pass the NCLEX and would not need the 500 hrs of practice before endorsement. Then 24 hours later all this comes about!!!!! I mean they don't have a clue or care how many lives they are affecting. I guess all we can do is pray at this point bc its not looking good. They are only giving EC 30min to talk at this board meeting. Not enough time to say much of anything.
  8. I just took the CPNE and you are at the hospital on the 1st day for the skills labs from 4:30-7:30pm. The 2nd day starts at 7:30 am and ends about 1:30 pm and last day is at 7:30 am-10:15am and then you are done if you dont have to do any repeats! But this all could depend on your test site, so double check where you are applying to!
  9. I am not real sure what that was all about. I called Excelsior and Ga BON and they both denied knowing anything about this issue. They said as of right now, same rules apply as far as sitting for your boards in another state and then apply for licensure by endorsement in GA. NO hours required!!!! So I am going to get this CPNE done next and beat any changes if possible in the future, but I dont see that happening! Just to be safe I would definately contact the GA BON before you apply to EC and throw your money away! Where do you live in GA?
  10. Congrats on passing your CPNE! Can you email me your files. I am taking the CPNE on Monday and I just have been reading over other peoples files this week just getting tips and reading journals and so forth. I would really appreciate it! Thanks.
  11. Has anyone heard of GA not accepting EC students after July 1, 2008 without clinical experience as an RN first???? I am so mad! I am taking my clinical this weekend and they are going to come up with a new rule without giving us a heads up? I mean that is thousands of dollars down the drain and a lot of hardwork. This program has NOT been easy route. I am already an LPN in GA and have been for 4 years and they are going to say I need 500 clinical hours in the state I orginally was licensed in before they will accept you. I just feel this is not right without giving currently enrolled students a time frame to finish up! I am going to contact them today and see what they say. If anyone has heard any info on this situation or have recently been licensed in GA, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!
  12. I just got a midweek testing date for July 28-30th at Albany medical center. They just started the midweek testing to speed the wait time up a bit. I have started looking for flights and hotels for that week and there are NONE available, even within a 15 mile radius of Albany!!!! All the hotels are booked solid. Has anyone else testing on these dates looked for hotels in Albany NY and ran into this problem. Like the CPNE is not stressful enough on its on but now I am worried that there will be no vacant rooms or flights!!! WHEWWW!!!
