comfy shoes

:crying2: my feet hurt!...

what are the most comfy nurses shoes you've had?

Yeah, me too. I just can't do white shoes. ;)

Just wanted to reply to you, the most comfortable I've found are nike shox. I love them so much, I have several pair. Although they can be a little pricey. I look for them on sale. Bobbye

I agree with Bobbye....I will never wear anything but my Shox to work from now on. I like the Shox TL (the shox are over the whole sole). They are pricey, yes, but I get mine on Ebay. You have to be careful about authenticity. I will only buy from a USA seller with good feedback.

I had some Crocs too but while they feel very light and good on your feet, they give almost no support..... at least for me. :)

The nice man at the Dansko store told me he can always tell the nursing students because we're the ONLY ones who get white. How are the clogs for arch support? I was a ballet dancer for a while, and my arches are stupidly high, and ever in danger of collapsing.

what about flat feet? I have a tendency to walk on the insides of my feet and I just cannot find a pair of shoes that keep my feet and hips from hurting. I'm not a nurse yet, Though i plan on starting school for it soon. No time like now to start finding the good shoes! lol BTW i admire you guys and your jobs and hope I can be as good a nurse as you guys.

Avoid Birks if you have flat feet. They'll rub the arch raw.

dansko clogs

there are great!

i love my crocs. But they don't really make it the whole 12 hours. so i bought a pair of quarks podium (sp?) those suckers can make it 12 hours and beyound. love, love, love them

Hi,

love to hear that, can you tell me how to get them, is there a website etc.

I have high arches (they've been called St. Louis arch by a guy in a running store, hehe) and I've done well with the Dansko Professionals and Birkenstock Super Birki. The Birkis I could actually feel up in my arch, which was neat. I just bought a pair each of Crocs and Quarks and those are good too. Shoe-wise, I get around. :chuckle

I was looking at the crocs website......to all you folks out there....I wear a 11 in K-swiss sneakers......do the crocs run true to size on regular shoes....like on width? I need to get more comfortable shoes....and these are something I would like to try.

i have on dansko professional now... :o

i've tried birkenstocks, they were worst :o

i checked out zcoils, they look kinda sorta awkward. too innovative for me. :chuckle

i saw the crocs, which look like the best prospect, tell me, are the highland model ok? would they make your feet sweat? or are the cayman model better? what if it rains, snows.

i'm not much of a tennis shoe kind of gal, i find them heavy, constrictive and hot, but comfy... so i guess if push comes to shove i will go with nike shox. :)

thank you all so much for the input... :p

Birkenstocks. I have flat feet and need good support, and Birks have always come through. I wear them everywhere.
