look on amazon.com. look for the "used" books coming from the resellers. you can often find real bargins there. i recently purchased a math for nursing book for $1.88! also, amazon has a firm shipping price for all books (i think it is about $3.50). :trout:

ebay is the way to go, i have gotten books that would have cost 80.00+ for as little as 10.00 that included shipping and handling.

Try this link for cheap books!!
only when the link pops up, put books in the search area and it will take you to only the nursing books and not other stuff related to nursing,Hope this helps!!

I once over a hundred dollars worth of nursing books at the university bookstore for ten dollars because they were damaged during shipping - the covers were bent up. That's the only thing wrong with them. All of them were current editions. The nursing diagnosis book has really come in handy this year!
So check any "Sale" tables up at your school or even at a local university's bookstore; you never know what you'll find! I check the sale tables every time I go in a university store now.

Please go straight to Amazon.com They have used books on sale for most book titles, even some out-of print ones. I frequently get books in good used condition for a penny, but have to pay the $3.50 postage and handling charge. When you are checking the used books, be sure and look all the way to the right to see what seller is offering the book, and look for their satisfaction rating (expressed in a percentage). I have never had a problem, and order from them frequently. Also, the books arrive usually within 3-5 days after I order them. Good luck!

Also, I just discovered that allnurses has added amazon.com as a link, so you can go there right from this board.
