Boston Direct Entry Program - Calling All Applicants!

Hi SaraNH and NurseGradHopeful - Congrats on your Columbia acceptances! That is a great school, I am originally from NYC and love the place. Unfortunately, Columbia is not an option for me because I am settled in Boston with my family now (don't get me wrong though - I LOVE it here, though I could do without the weather this winter!). Best of luck in your decisions, although it sounds like they have largely been made! I have only heard from BC at this point, although BC and MGH were my top choices going in to the application process. I have no idea if I will get into MGH (and I don't think I'll find out until Justin Bieber's voice drops) - we'll see how it goes!

This might seem like a dumb question but at what point in the Northeastern application were we choosing the specialties? I dont reamember getting that option. I know people have been saying the family track or PNP track were invited for interviews and Im now wondering if ai picked a specialty at all. I already did my interview last week and the person I was talking to asked me what specialty I wanted to go in to but that was the only time during this whole process that I had mentioned that. Would someone please enlighten me?

Hi guys - I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about or from Simmons yet? I haven't heard as much chatter on this board about them, so I was just wondering if they notify later, etc. Does anyone know if they interview?

Simmons will start to notify applicants in March. Unfortunately, they do not conduct interviews.

Congrats! you are now the envy of everyone on here! Did you really get the call "now"...as in at 9 PM?! seems like a late night acceptance call....if so, im not sleeping all night for fear that my phone may ring at midnight

Thank you! Yea, I was shocked...the program director called at 8:15pm (EST). The number didn't look familiar on my caller ID but it was so late I didn't think it could possibly be a school. I was totally surprised.

Thanks jennahbee. I submitted my application in November and I had my interview last Friday. I hope you hear back soon!

Congrats PsycMC! I'm surprised you heard back so fast! I just had my interview this wed, and my interviewer had todd me that I wouldn't hear back until the end of march. maybe she was hinting at something? =/
