  1. Hi Jennahbee, what specialty did the admit you for?
  2. Thanks NamasteNurse. I just got admission into nursing school and all the negativity was starting to weigh me down and make me re-think my decision. I have a pretty decent job which pays well but nursing is something which I've always wanted to do. Im also older (in my 30s) and I've held many postiions and I know no job is easy. You have to earn your paycheck. No hand holding. So I dont think its anyone's position to discourage others from pursuing what they want to just because they hate "WORK"!. If you really dislike it that much you could try to do something different ...like trained to be a history teacher or something. Thanks NamasteNurse
  3. Nice article. As a nursing student I've been dreading the night shifts (I like my sleep- at night) but your article makes it seem less dreadful :) Thanks
  4. This might seem like a dumb question but at what point in the Northeastern application were we choosing the specialties? I dont reamember getting that option. I know people have been saying the family track or PNP track were invited for interviews and Im now wondering if ai picked a specialty at all. I already did my interview last week and the person I was talking to asked me what specialty I wanted to go in to but that was the only time during this whole process that I had mentioned that. Would someone please enlighten me?
  5. I received a call this Saturday from Northeastern to invite me for an interview next week. I'm excited and nervous.
  6. Oh cool. I'll definately need someone to hold my hand the first few weeks lol. Thanks
  7. Jin, I received the call the same day :) They usually meet every two weeks I think but the day I did the interview was the day the admission committee was meeting so the decision was made the same day. They asked me about why I wanted to be a nurse, why should I be considered above the other candidates, etc. It was more like a job interview :) I'm going for FNP. Good luck my dear. and hopefully we will meet in June during the orientation. By the way have you ever been at the medical school? Its beautiful
  8. Hi Jinn333, sorry to get back to you so late. Hope you you did well at the interview. My GRE scores were average, in the 1200s so there was nothing special. I think its just more my work and life experiences and the reasons for wanting to be a nurse that appealed to them. But I hope you did well. Please update me.
  9. I applied to Umass Worcester, NE, MGH and Regis. Regis and Umass offered me a place already after doing the interviews but Ive not paid the deposit. NE was my first choice and was hoping to hear by now but talked to the admissions coordinator yesterday and she said the Direct Entry Program they've not even started looking at those applications so we will hear Late Feb. NOt heard anythign from MGH
