While this may seem innocent enough to you because you’ve stay clean, it will be used against you. Just my experience.
Being fired from the dialysis job is going to be used against you- one of the questions on the application to terminate probation asks about any jobs that you have been fired from. Also I am thinking that there were other issues involved in your termination- the bleach sniffing was probably the easiest way to terminate.
I've never been fired/reported, however, when I was in nursing school, I had intense cravings for the smell of certain cleaning products, including hand sanitizer. It turned out that I was extremely anemic, and had a form of pica. I don't know if that is what is going on with you, but it may be worth looking into, if you haven't already, since anemia is treatable.

Hi y’all. I have a weird question. Has anyone ever been reported to the nursing board for “sniffing” bleach wipes? When I worked for a dialysis center, I got in trouble for smelling the bleach wipes. We mixed bleach with water to clean the machines with. I’ve always like the smell of bleach so sometimes I would smell the diluted bleach wipes . It’s crazy- I know I shouldn’t have with my history. Some employees reported me to the manager and I was warned about it do I stopped. Then someone me again, this time I wasn’t doing that / I was sickly and had a runny nose and used tissues but someone swore up and down I was smelling bleach again. I was terminated. The bleach didn’t cause me a high but I know it wasn’t good for my brain cells. Anyone heard of this sort of thing getting reported?
