Applying for Gordon Nursing Program Spring 2010

Hello All,

I am applying for Spring 2010 admission at Gordon. When is the application deadline? I do not need to take any classes at Gordon so I applied for Spring 2010 admission. I have not received an acceptance letter and that has been two months ago. When I check the website, it says that all of my information has been received, but my transcripts have not been evaluated or at least no grades have been posted for me as of yet. I need to apply to the program and take the TEAS, but I know that time is running out. I am beginning to get very frustrated! Can anyone help me or give me a name of someone that can help speed this process along? Thanks so much!:wink2:

I think what happened is that they have too many qualified applicants. I am not going to let it get me down, and those of you who were waitlisted or didn't get in shouldn't let it get you down either. Just keep on pressing on!

Yeah, I feel the same way. They have almost wasted my time, especially with having such good scores on everything and being turned away. I could have had something else lined up, now have to wait. But everything happens for a reason ; )

outlaw5,

Don't give up. There are still some programs that you can get into for the summer. Where do you live?

What other schools are you thinking about?

Only Macon, it would b Macon State and I know girls who have been turned down there too! It's cool, we will come up with something!

I received my letter today and I was waitlisted also.

To all those who were waitlisted,

Don't give up hope if you are still interested in going to Gordon. I spoke with the lady in charge of the decisions today, and she told me there were only 8-10 people on the waiting list. She said that they have 2 weeks to accept or decline the offer, if they decline or don't respond at all, they are immediately dropped and she moves on to the waiting list to pick from there. So 10 people aren't bad odds, and I also heard that 2 already declined, so you never know....I am just glad they told me something, the speculation was killing me. So within 3-4 weeks we would know for sure. Good luck to everyone on the waiting list!!!

That is good to know. Will they mail out this information, or will they call us? Thanks!

The people chosen have until November 19th to accept or decline. At that point however many seats open up will be filled by those on the waiting list, and you will get another letter in the mail telling you a seat is available for you. So within the next 3-4 weeks you should no for sure, depending on if you get a letter. But, you can always call just to check up on them....even though they didn't say to do that. :) Also, just so you know the ones on the waiting list were very very close to the point cutoff, like the cutoff was 24 and I had 21. So keep hope alive, at least for a couple more weeks. Hope this helps.

Yes this helps a lot. I hope that we will get another letter telling us that we can go ahead and come on in.

mj1215,

What is the name of the person in charge of admissions decisions? I would like to contact them about where I am on the waiting list. Thank you.

GAMommy,

Sorry just getting back to you. Her name is Ms. Joan Cranford, but let me warn you her administrative assistant is not easy to get past...just a head's up. Good luck on what you find out, and let me know if anything she tells you is different than what was told to me. Thank you.
