Applying for Gordon Nursing Program Spring 2010
Faithworks, Congratulations! Better late then never, right?! Well, I know how overwhelming it is to get a TON of stuff done in a lot less time than everyone else had to do it in...I was told about 2 weeks after everyone else found out. But I am here to encourage, I got it all done in time and turned in and still have my sanity. After all, I am a firm believer in everything happens in life for a reason, you are meant to be in it, I believe! Good luck with your decision just my 2 cents worth...

GAMommy, Have you found anything out yet about your position on the waiting list? I am still keeping you in my thoughts to make it in!

Applying for Gordon Nursing Program Spring 2010
Thank you so much for all the well wishes from everyone! Yep, #1 Mommy see you at camp! GAMommy- I came home yesterday from school and there was a letter in my mailbox saying I was accepted with all the information. I never heard back on the email. So yeah, found out by mail. I would suggest maybe calling or going in in person and seeing what you can find out that way. No, you can't see if you are accepted online, have to get the letter first, then they unlock you to register. So see what you can find out and keep hope alive! Good luck to you.

GaMommy, Just wondering if you have talked recently to anyone regarding the waiting list at Gordon? I put in an email today to see if they could tell me anything, since tomorrow is their deadline to register for their seat. So I will let you know if I find anything out, and let me know the same if you do. Thanks. Hopefully our wait will be over soon, and we will just know one way or the other.

GAMommy, That is even better with 4-5 people on the list, sounds like our odds are getting better and better. Well I am not sure that I would put to much weight in what the secretary has to say...I got my info. straight from the woman in charge of making the decisions. But yes, I too have heard that you can find out right before the semester starts so yes, it could be January.

Applying for Gordon Nursing Program Spring 2010
Yeah thanks Mommyof3 for the encouraging words, trying to keep hope alive, just not get my hopes up to high! GAMommy, to answer your questions, they didn't take anyone who was not a currently enrolled or previously enrolled student at Gordon. They took no transfer students at all, so all the ones that were accepted were either currently enrolled Gordon students or readmitted Gordon students. That is probably why you are on the waiting list because you were transfer, that is what worked against me too. So I would think that all the people who were accepted should have applied by now or will soon, since none are new new students. Hope this helps, at least that is what the lady in charge told me. BTW- find anything out from her when you called? Keep ur spirits up we may still have a chance, but it may be last minute....whenever is fine with me!

GAMommy, Sorry just getting back to you. Her name is Ms. Joan Cranford, but let me warn you her administrative assistant is not easy to get past...just a head's up. Good luck on what you find out, and let me know if anything she tells you is different than what was told to me. Thank you.

The people chosen have until November 19th to accept or decline. At that point however many seats open up will be filled by those on the waiting list, and you will get another letter in the mail telling you a seat is available for you. So within the next 3-4 weeks you should no for sure, depending on if you get a letter. But, you can always call just to check up on them....even though they didn't say to do that. :) Also, just so you know the ones on the waiting list were very very close to the point cutoff, like the cutoff was 24 and I had 21. So keep hope alive, at least for a couple more weeks. Hope this helps.

To all those who were waitlisted, Don't give up hope if you are still interested in going to Gordon. I spoke with the lady in charge of the decisions today, and she told me there were only 8-10 people on the waiting list. She said that they have 2 weeks to accept or decline the offer, if they decline or don't respond at all, they are immediately dropped and she moves on to the waiting list to pick from there. So 10 people aren't bad odds, and I also heard that 2 already declined, so you never know....I am just glad they told me something, the speculation was killing me. So within 3-4 weeks we would know for sure. Good luck to everyone on the waiting list!!!

Applying for Gordon Nursing Program Spring 2010
Hello All, Well I got my letter today that we have all been anxiously awaiting, and....I was put on a waiting list for the Spring 2010 semester. WHAT??? I didn't even know there was a waiting list...is that just there way to tell you that you were almost in, BUT not quite good enough. A polite way of saying NO? I can't even find anymore info. or people who were waitlisted in the past, and if they ever made it in? I am so incredibily frustrated...now I have to wait longer to find out if someone declines....more waiting?? Or should I pretty much just start to reapply and give up for this semester? Any advice out there? Thanks!
