Two weeks left of school. I think there is a class gone for a field trip every day. Not to mention the short trips to local businesses, award assemblies, fun days, presentations, track and field days, ect. I will get nothing done but tracking down students for their meds and/or packaging them up to send along. :banghead:

UG! I know! Soooo many field trips!! I have been tracking down kids with listed allergies but no epi in the office to make sure they carry epi with them and that we have paperwork that says they can. 2 huge field trips are coming up with over 100 kids going (to a theme park and to the state capitol). I also don't feel like calling out the kids who have extended noted to be out of PE but somehow feel well enough to walk around for 10+ hours and go on roller coasters... Nope, not gonna do it.

Sigh...I wish we had 2 weeks left of school. We have 8. :(

When did you start the school year?? When do you go back this fall?

We started August 17th and we are done as of May 20 (no emergency days used this year)

Same question- When did you start the year? And what other breaks do you have?

I'm shocked that there is such a difference! I know we go back mid august, but even with schools that start after Labor Day, it seems as though it should only be about 2-3 weeks longer. Unless there are additional breaks (a full week at Thanksgiving, 2 weeks in spring, ect)

I actually just charted "fell on right elbow in gym, no redness, swelling, bruising. ROM wnl, no indication of pain on movement. Offered to amputate, student refused, sent back to class."

I'm in a daze. Had to delete that one. But I really wanted to leave it.

16 MORE DAYS Y'ALL!

Oh, goody. ANOTHER field trip list just got dumped on my desk. It's tomorrow.

Did my third field trip this morning and tomorrow is track and field day. Plus all afternoon its JH/HS awards ceremony, so have to remind all my older med kids to come at the appropriate time (and then go pull them out because they forgot). My own kid is home with strep today - her second go around with it this year. 8 days!!!!!
