Hi, I'm 32 years old, I've been a CNA in the past and I can't get the idea out of my head that I want to be a registered nurse. Am I too old to start nursing school?

I am 52 and my short answer for you is "no". I find it funny that someone who is only 32 can call themselves old. Hell you are still starting out in life. Look at it this way, assuming the process of applying to nursing school and graduating takes 5-6 years. At the end you will be 36. If you don't do it you will still be 36.

Nope! I'm 31 and I'm a newbie. We had a 60 year old male in my class and he graduated at the top of his class.

You're only too old if you want that to be your excuse for not doing it :)

I was 45 when I graduated.
I do think some people's age is an impediment to getting hired but not a newbie nurse in their mid-30's.
I believe that a mid-30's new grad is more desirable than a mid-20's new grad.

Tons of threads here on AN about that very topic. In short, of course you are not too old.
