I have my emails linked to my texts so every time someone responds to a thread my phone makes noise. I should probably turn that off, LOL.
Honestly though, sometimes online school is lonely. I remember how close I was with the girls I went to LPN school with, I am going to NC to be in one of their weddings next week... I remember crying and whining with them, sharing notes, cracking jokes in class and sharing all the good and bad times together. It was a great experience for me and I am not sure how I would have made it through without them.
So you guys are my classmates. When I feel like I can't do it anymore, I know I can come on here and you all will understand. People think online school is so easy because we don't have homework and deadlines and teachers.... but it's so much harder I think!! You have to motivate yourself and sometimes you just can't!
I would seriously have not gotten this far... or maybe not even started EC... if I had not found this board. You guys are the best. :-)

I couldn't agree more! I start and finish my day here and stop in many time in between, and in many ways it serves as my support group. This is a very challenging program. I don't remember nursing school being very difficult as I didn't have a care in the world at that time with no kids, no job, just classes and clinicals. I am certain I would not have pushed this hard without the gang here. I knew I had a problem when I passed LS2 and the door to the testing center wasn't even shut and I was texting my message up here and to know that there are friends here that will pick me back up if I fail....no one else would understand that either.
Okay, NOW I am ready to study....

Couldnt agree with you more, beachnurse. In fact, not only do i have my emails linked to my phone, i am feverishly searching to find out if there is a allnurse phone app!
Yet again sitting here instead of studying... ~sigh. The midgetme is also demanding I not study... it's amazing I actually ever get any study time in.

It's so true..i can't go a day without visiting the site;) I don't even have facebook;) And everybody that I know have a facebook acct!!
The EC facebook site is pretty awesome, I have made some really good friends on there too.... even met one that works at the FD nearby me (and I met someone from my hospital on here!), so lots of oppotunities to make study buddies... and for things I can't find the answer to on here, I usually can find it there. Worth checking out :-)

LOL
We've even had members contact us to close their accounts while they are studying for exams so they wont be tempted to post.
Are we going to have to take drastic measures with you?
HAHA
I was even wandering around out in the field looking for a 3G signal so I could check my AN favorites ... LOL.
