All things come to an end...

The end of school is nearing for me.

My last day of school is in March, so I still have another 8 weeks to go. The last year has been grueling because I still work full time as an LPN/LVN on weekends, attend a full time RN bridge ADN program located out of state, endure a strenuous commute, and have had a lack of free time.

My classmates and I took pictures with the nursing caps last week, and we also went over the NCLEX eligibility paperwork earlier that same day. I am glad that my time in school will be concluding due to the backdoor politics, poor clinical experiences, and other issues that bother me.

Thanks for allowing me to share my thoughts!

Congrats! May the next 8 weeks fly by for you! :yeah:

What will you do next?

I just finished an RN to BSN program, and am still waiting for my diploma in the mail. I feel a little at loose ends. Not sure what to do with this thing called free time... I plan to continue working part-time on my med/surg floor, while looking around for other opportunities.

All I can say about nursing school is survive it.

And congratulations. We'll be losing a great LVN but gaining another great RN!

What will I do next? I'm going to try to find my first position as an RN in the middle of a slumping economy after I pass the NCLEX-RN.

I hear ya, sister! I can't wait to be away from everything related to nursing school. I've got another 5 months to go, and grueling is not the half of it. For a long time, I was scared to start working but now I am so looking forward to it, I can hardly wait.

Because that means: The NCLEX is done and passed, I am making money, I have free time, the anxiety of school and getting my first job is over.... ahhhh, it sounds like heaven.

I will never look back with any kind of fond feelings or wish nursing school had lasted longer, because for me it has been a very long haul. longer than most....:nurse:

best of luck to all of those in the last legs of this crazy journey.

Congratulations!! :) That is quite an accomplishment and you should feel very proud. It is quite inspiring to those of us just getting started (my first day of nursing school is today)!

That is great news! I know you will be glad to have this behind you so you can get on with a more "normal" schedule. You have really worked long and hard for this.

Hang in there. Only 8 weeks to go.

Doesn't it feel great? I have only two months longer than you until I finish and I can't wait!

Gooooooooood job !!!

Wish you only the best out there ! :)
