The Adventures of Mighty Nurse

Featured Replies

It's a magical room where only the CNA and unit secretaries go to eat their meals. Nurses are nary to be seen.

We had a patient knock on our break room door asking for his nurse. If you could see the look on our faces. Priceless..... :)

Honestly, after working for over a year at the first facility, when I arrived from Europe, I finally found the break-room, and the only person in there was housekeeping talking on the phone, and eating some of the food a pt. had brought in for us nurses.

I've been where I'm at for 6 months. I just found out within the past week that we even HAVE a break room. I honestly didn't know. I looked in it once but I've never actually been in there. I wouldn't know what to do in there anyway.

Where I last worked - the only time I was in the break room was to put stuff in my locker before or after work. However, we had a few team members (one specific charge RN and some of the assistants) that you could reliably find in the break room...

We must have worked in at same place... :D....Aloha~

No doubt! The only times I went in the break room at one facility was to find the CNAs who were on a "smoke break".

How are u, Bortaz?? Long time no talk! Getting ready for my little granddaughter, Sophia in October. Hope yours are doing well.

I'm doing great! My youngest grandkid is already nearly 5 months. The other 3 are gearing up for school to start in a few days. :)

Taking this further, another time I went into the break room was during my first week in the unit, and I was looking for the blanket warmer and happened to open the door and there was 2 medical reps. and they handed me a couple of pens and a pad ....

You were in the breakroom more than once, Gitano?

Typical manager. :) :) :)
