I test for NCLEX on Tuesday and it looks like an historic blizzard is forecasted to hit!! How do I find out if my NCLEX will be cancelled?! I don't want it to be! There's no phone number listed on my ticket to call, and I don't see any website to get weather related pearsonvue closings. I will show up for the text no matter what, but I would like to know where to check for weather closures. Please help!

There should be a number for the testing center. I am testing Thursday, but I am going on a drive through tomorrow and planning to stop by in person to see how they are planning to communicate in case they are closed (God forbid).

Why don't you reschedule the test? You have at least 24 hrs before the test; better be safe than sorry.

I'm as ready as I'm ever going to be and want to get it over with, I don't want to reschedule. Also if they cancel it I will have to reschedule anyway. But if I reschedule on my own now, I'll have to pay a fee...

A classmate was cancelled for hurricane Irene as all traffic into and out of Atlantic City was suspended in preparation. She received a phone call.

When I took my boards we had a snow storm....they held it anyhow....I drove to Indianapolis in a blizzard but that was many years ago

That sucks! But I'll definitely be ready no matter what. I already packed a change of clothes so that when I get to the test center I can have comfortable, dry clothes to test in.

If we are getting as much snow in the NE as they say and governors declaring states of emergency, you will not have to take it as the center will be closed for sure. You aren't essential personnel- yet!! I am and not looking forward to driving to work!!

If a state of emergency is declared you likely will not get a call as it would be inferred that you would follow the edict

I think you should contact the place where the exam is to see if it's canceled first before anything.

Traveling to your destination before the storm and staying in a nearby hotel is not unheard of.

Preparing to face NCLEX is bad enough; having the anxiety of possible weather cancellation heaped on top of it is horrible! So sorry.

While I, too, would normally say you should travel to and stay as close as close to the testing site as possible, this blizzard in southern NY, NJ, and CT could keep someone stranded through Wednesday....that's a lot of hotel and restaurant time.

Thanks for the thoughts, seems like no information is out yet from Pearson Vue in terms of closures tomorrow. The phone lines are not giving any helpful information. Can someone post here if they hear anything? I need to focus on last minute studying ugh :/
