I was thinking about getting a tattoo on my wrist when someone brought it to my attention that if I was to get a tattoo it might limit that places that would want to hire me. So I guess my question is Is that true? Will my jobs be limited? And I also just wanted to get some opinions on whether this would be a good idea or not.

As long as you cover it, you should be good. The best hospital in my area hires nurses with tattoos. One of them had one on her wrist, and she just covers it with her watch. If I were you I would also make it small enough to cover with a watch maybe?

It really depends on the employer. I work with many nurses with visible tattoos. One has two full sleeves and another wears capris in the summer to show off her tatts on her calves.

Two major chains in my area do not allow visible tattoos. They must be covered up.

Be ware some places don't allow long sleeves (like my friend who works L&D ) so be cautious and ask the HR where you work/plan on working.
