Good thoughts for Sue, who is CPNEing ...

  • Moderator

Thinking good thoughts for Suesquatch, who is at the first day of her CPNE now! So here's to great wound packing, drip rates that don't accelerate greatly when tubes settle, no air bubbles in flushes, remembering to roll insulin, and easy-to-calculate drugs. Go Sue go!! :D :D :D

Goodluck to Sue, can't wait for the I PASS THE CPNE post.

:rolleyes::rolleyes: Sending good thoughts your way!!!:heartbeat:heartbeat:heartbeat

Come back and tell us how its done.

WOOT!!!

Oy!

Thanks. Day one down.

Had a big ol' honkin' air bubble in a flush, and forgot to glove and check the site before starting the (perfeclt figured and calibrated) IV gravity line.

I'll redo them tomorrow and you can bet I won't do the same things wrong again!

My nerves really did me in. I was really sanguine about this until - yesterday. I was freakin' shaking like a leaf and trying to figure out the DPM and I KNEW the number I was cooming up with was wrong but was so stressed it took me three looks to realize I was figuring the drug mgs instead of the bag's volume. Doh! So I got that right and forgot the freakin' dummy arm's IV site.

Have a peds patient in the am. EASY assignment, so wish me luck!

Thanks, all.

I hope so. I'm calmer than I was. My nerves really went, boy. And it surprised me. I was actually almost hyperventilating. AND I KNOW THIS STUFF!

You guys have NO idea how much you all mean to me. I know this is a world of imaginary friends, but youse guys have really helped motivate me through this. And I thank you.
