New! Chat room testing

post updated 9-13-02

we have concluded our testing, thanks for everyones feedback. after testing the new chat, we decided to stick with the previous chat program we have been using.

for some reason we have not figured out, a few people are having problems using the chat. the java chat works best with the microsoft internet explorer browser (ie). if you are having problems accessing the chat, please try ie you can download ie at:

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.asp

you can find the chat room here:

https://allnurses.com/pl.cgi?chat

hint: the evening hours are the best time to catch someone in the chat room. daytime hours are not as active.

enjoy! and thanks again for all your feedback!

Everytime I try to access the chat room, the screen freezes up. I tried it three times...and each time it happened again. I've got to reboot now..:o

Loaded OK for me Brian, took a little longer than the old one but not too bad.

Would love to be able to keep colours all the time without having to click each entry.:)

What about emoticons???? any chance of them......I know I know I am never happy hehehe;) :D

Nobody there to chat to so couldn't give it a proper test..will let you know when I have more.......;)

Thankyou Brian for the continual upgrading in an already great site..allnurses is terrific:cool:

well, this room will load and open for me, but, I get a "this nickname is erroneous" message.

Thanks for the feedback. It does take a few minutes to load. Try giving it a few minutes before giving up. :) Maybe it's a bug?

maybe it is a bug, or maybe it is just still computer illiterate me

but I couldn't get anywhere, infact, it shut down my computer, but I signed back in without any trouble......

one day micro shall chat too......

to everything there is a season, turn, turn, turn,

Brian, continue to rock........

umm with all ur fine work im sure youll put into it itll be even better ... voice cam bla bla :p

did take a while to load ... once was in tho , it worked fine ... after the screen size thingy was worked out

nice to have met u brian

catchya ;)

It locks me up, too. It will load, but once loaded I'm locked up. :sniff:

What's this Brian? You only letting aussies in then lol:D :D :D

Must be all the blackmail we have on ya is working ;) :p

Loading quickly for me now..no problems....:)

It is a conspiracy!!!

Naw, just kidding I am in there right now--chatting. :p

It is working great and only took about 30 seconds to load.

I like Brian...Thanks!! :D

It opened up, BUT maybe it's because I was all alone? I couldn't do anything. From what I could see, it's not very intuitive (and believe me, I'm chat-intuitive!!) or maybe it's not working correctly?

I clicked on "join" thinking maybe that was the way "in." It asked me for my name and Key? Go figure.

Love

Dennie

I just get a blank gray area with nothing. However, I'm logging in from the network at work so they may have done something on the network to disable chat. Is that possible?

WayneRN

Brian, I am having the same problem as WAYNERN. Just a gray square.
