What other shcools are represented?

I have been on this site for a couple of months now. I attend Baker College of Owosso's nursing program. All I hear about on this page is Oakland. Just wanted to know what schools does everyone else attend.

Hello!

I go to Ferris State University in Big Rapids:)

I was an alternate this fall/spring for the program at Lansing Community College and hope that I will get an actual seat in the program for this coming fall/spring. :uhoh3: I am applying to a few other schools also but am hoping for LCC to work out.

Will be at University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in the Second Career program starting Fall 07. One of my future classmates is on here, too... her s/n is Blanc313 if I remember correctly.

I hope to start at Olympia College in Merrionette Park, Il. in March.

I am currently registered at Mott Community College, however I have attended 3 different schools at various times in 4 years, Oakland University, OCC, and Macomb Community College. So far, I have enjoyed all schools. I am currently finishing pre req's. for different schools so I can apply to as many as possible. Anyone heard anything about Saint Clair Community College nursing programs, any advice about admissions or anything?

ashdun0324,

Did you like OCC? I went to Macomb CC and really didn't care for it. Now I'm attending OCC, finishing up my sciences. I'm not sure which program I'm going to go into now (Nursing or Respiratory). But I plan on finishing at OCC, I'm tired of transferring everywhere.

Mississippi delta community college

...I graduated from Delta College in the tri-city area, Saginaw, Bay City & Midland, in May 2002 from the RN program but now live in St. Joseph, MI.

sirena,

I have only taken a couple courses at OCC, and I did like it. I think everything was organized, people were helpful and I felt comfortable and confident there. I didn't care for MCC either, currently I love Mott and am having a great experience. However, I will ultimately love the school that accepts me into their RN program first!!

I am currently in the University of Michigan's Accelerated Second Career Nursing Program and I can honestly say that it is horrible. Unless you are ok with mass disorganization, unclear expectations, the bottom of the clinical barrel (the local community college and traditional students currently get all the best placements), being treated like a traditional student (rather than a second career student...it is like they never heard of "adult learners"), and dealing with faculty who are not familiar with the technology they teach, then I would recommend going to a more established program.
