What to do after a rough shift?

nurse-rough-shift.gif.95a09f397a7df31b0e6e2fb18b714a79.gif

What do you do after a rough shift? Have fun with the girls? Eat chocolate? Or, do you just go straight to bed?

I talked with a friend who worked at the same place and understood, ate ice cream and watched comedies on TV.

...and from judging from most of the responses, that is why most nurses are fat or out of shape...lol

I used to go home and drink any kind of liquor I had around, but then I had to quit drinking (AA) and I then started watching cartoons when I came home from work. What a stress reliever! Esp. Looney Tunes I loved them. My grandkids would crack up watching me and they loved the fact that granma knew what were all the cool cartoons.

kegs and eggs.... I love it. Doesn't take much after the delusions set in from being up all night. I still haven't adjusted and its been six months. I found a fun forum to vent events of my night on nursanity.com

Reflection is a great way to learn what works, what does not, and just needed out

sometimes I play my guitar and release all my stress

I come home. Thank God that I made it through the day, shower and pass out.

Quietly leave the hospital, carefully drive out of the parking structure, roll up all the windows ... then proceed to bang the steering wheel and let the expletives fly!! :banghead:  :arghh: :cheeky: :dead:

I have done this on more than once occasion.
