What is your program's late-work policy?

Hi. In my 2-year ADN program, this is the late work policy:

For each day past the posted due date of an assignment, 5 points will be deducted from the assignment's grade regardless of quality. After 5 days, the assignment will receive a 0. All assignments must be completed regardless if the student knows he/she will receive a 0. If assignments are missing at the end of the semester, the student cannot advance to the next semester.

In-class quizzes cannot be made up. Making up tests requires a doctor's note or obituary notice.

I'm actually surprised late work is accepted at all. We have a syllabus that has the due dates of all assignments and test dates. I don't see how a deadline can be missed unless something chaotic just happens in their life.

I'm in a BSN program (about to start 3rd semester), and so far, late work has not been accepted. Neither is the option to just 'not' turn something in.

In my ADN program no late work is accepted. It becomes an automatic zero, and it must be completed before the end of the term or you are ineligible to move on.

Agreed. There's little reason to be late. You are made aware weeks in advance! This is why I MUST be team captain for group assignments.

The policy for my ADN program is that no late work is accepted unless you either a) made prior arrangements with the instructor issuing the assignment or b) there was some sort of extenuating circumstance that can be documented

I'm starting my BSN program in a little over a week, and apparently no late work will be accepted or graded. :drowning: :nailbiting:

No late work is allowed the mark is 0 but still has to be turned in. We can not miss an exam or the mark is 0, we don't have exceptions.

Our handbook states that no late work will be accepted.

My BSN program begins Aug 26th, and they have expressed very adamantly that no late work will ever be accepted.
