What to do with books?

Published

Okay I'm still taking pre-req's and am finishing up 3 courses next week. Do you usually keep your books or sell them. And if you sell them where is the best place or site to do that?

Barnes and Nobles or your college bookstore, e-bay, or amazon!

I sold most of my books, specially the sciences. I am planning to sell my fundamentals nursing book soon.

I sold most of my books. I needed the money!

Where did you sell them?

Specializes in Maternity, quality.

I think I've sold stuff on half.com. But I'd keep your A&P book (just the text, not the lab book, if you had one). I've used that one now that I'm in nursing school to refer back to.

I sell mine back to the bookstore at the end of the semester. I also have traded with someone. She used a couple of books that I was done with and I did the same with hers. It worked really well and we still get the $$ when we sell the books back.

If you're still in nursing school, you'll want to hang onto that fundamentals book. There're procedures in it that you'll want to get refreshed on from time to time.

Don't sell the A&P text either. That always come in handy.

I keep all of mine I can't part with them, plus I mark my books when I study.

I cannot wait till the semester is over to sell my books!!! The only ones that I kept were my Micro and A&P books. The others are GONE!! I did learn real fast to sell them on amazon.com instead of back to the bookstore, because the bookstore would only give like $20.00 bucks for a barely used book, then turn around and sell it for $75.00. I could sell the same book on amazon for $85.00. Plus our bookstore wouldn't buy the book if it didn't have the disc with it (with 4 kids, there is always 1 disc that would disappear!) and on amazon, as long as you list it showing no disc, it would still sell for a good amount.
