If you do not have your shot-record you could have titers drawn which is about $100 in my area. Good luck!

every school has some sort of brochure or catalog that details information about admission criteria and tuition costs. you can get this information from them for free by just calling them. many schools have websites and this information is online.

My school did require we have certain immunizations done, or proof of them being done, before we could enter into the clinical part. A lot of people in my cohort, went to a walk-in type clinic, to get the shots or titers that they were missing.

Yes, you will need proof of vaccination.
As for the cost of attending, it varies from one school to the next. Private colleges are generally much more expensive than public schools. You can usually find tuition info for an individual school on their website. You can also contact the school you're interested in and have them snail mail you a packet of info which usually includes info on tuition as well as what all their other admission requirements are.

First off, :spnngwlcm:! Every school is different, but most if not all will want to know your past immunizations. Costs vary widely. Second, think of the rewards when you are done with school and you'll recoup the investment too. Nursing is a wonderful career and if you have a passion for helping people. Most employers also will have some sort of tuition assistance and/or reimbursement.

I had my titers drawn/vax updated at the student health center for maybe $150 total - not cheap, but I only had a few days to get it done and couldn't get into my regular doc. You can get many things done at the local Health Department as well for free/very inexpensive.

Yes, you need them. Either with records(had to get a paper copy shipped to a hospital 30 mins away for 20 bucks and drive to pick em up) or titers (usually at docs office).

Most schools do want them. I didn't have my record, my mother had my childhood, but I wasn't too good at keeping up with is stuff in my late/teens early 20's. Anyway, I called my high school, they printed it out for me, $5, the things I didn't have I went to my GP doc, he drew the titers. The only thing I had a problem with was the varicella and MMR. I ended up going to the health department (which was free to anyone) for my MMR, and my doc pulled the titer on the varicella. He couldn't do a adult vac for varicella, so if my titer would have came back neg, I would have had to go back to the health department for that shot as well. If I didn't have insurance, it would have cost me (again, around here, NC) $280 or $180, I can't remember now, to have one titer drawn, and the same price for one shot. CRAZY!!!
