Waitlist

After a month or so of waiting for my letter, I finally got it and I've been wait listed. Which isn't terrible considering my GPA was borderline, I more then likely deserve it. So maybe it's a blessing. I wasn't rejected but it is still disappointing a little bit. Anyone in the same boat?

There were a lot of people from my school that were waitlisted and shortly after accepted into the program. Some people will decline their spot, some will miss deadlines which will disqualify them, and others will choose different schools/campuses which open up more spots.

Don't lose hope :)

I've been trying to be hopefully! Just sucks to have to wait longer

Good to see a post where a person with a less than stellar GPA doesn't blame 1. The school. 2. The professor. 3. Their family, 4. The death of their pet turtle.

Taking responsibility not only when things don't go great is as important as recognizing success.

Hope you get in man. Good luck

I was an alternate for my program (alternate list is similar to a wait list). It was very stressful waiting the additional month to find out if I made it in or not. Three of us from the alternate list made it into our cohort of 20 and now we're just weeks away from entering our senior year!

Don't lose faith and don't give up; your time will come. Good luck and keep us posted!

Definitely agree. I'm also not done with all my pre reqs. I am Studying for a semester in Hawaii to finish them, so I guess I can still bring my GPA up.

Update: Been living in Hawaii for the semester taking micro and stats as well as a medical terminology class for fun haha I am getting As in all of them which is good. I still havent heard back from my program. Last I heard I was number 6 on the waitlist. I was originally number 12. Trying to keep my hopes up but its getting hard as time goes on. Been waiting since june to find out :/

You are getting close! Don't lose hope. It seems like a very long time but your time is coming.

I'm not exactly on the same boat buuuut I did get waitlisted on one school and got accepted a few days later. I got accepted into 3 other schools and declined 2 of them. People decline their spot all the time. Don't give up hope. Good luck!
