Hello all. I took 3 weeks to study for the NCLEX-PN. I paid for an online class as well as using Saunders. I felt really prepared when I went this week to take the exam. I was in tears afterwards! I didn't know 90% of the questions! They were SO hard! I guessed at most of them. The computer shut off at 85. I am just really discouraged. I am a single mom (and in my 40's), and I have invested so much thus far. How incredibly disappointed I am in how I did. How can you possibly know everything? You can't! I couldn't even break the questions apart to come to an answer ("pick the two that are similar but dissimilar", etc.). Just wanted to vent. Good luck to all those yet to take it!
have you gotten your score yet? Don't be so hard on yourself. I remember taking the NCLEX and after a certain point, I was just clicking answers. It was stressed to me, think common sense, always A,B,C approach and you'll do fine. It's a test for NEW GRADS, not those that have been in nursing. Relax, I'm sure you did fine. I remember crying on my way home (3 hours each way!) and called my mom, boo hooing because I just "KNEW" I failed. I didn't.
