For orientation, due to Covid I was not able to have a face to face NEO, it was all online, It was only 30 minutes and then I got sent to my department.

Are you still ED? It is listed as your specialty. How is the VA handling PPE?

I'm a float nurse and the position that I'm going to is ICU, in the dimensions I basically put many examples of my nursing practice, sometimes I had to repeat the same example for some of the question and sometimes I included like 2-3 examples from my practice, I think floating experience landed me to get nurse ll lever 12 beside that I gave them two recommendation letters from charge nurses that I worked with and also they contacted my current manger and the other two mangers that I've worked with and they put them as my actual references in Vetpro . I got the verbal firm offer over the phone on Thursday and I'm just like you can't wait till Monday to get the email or letter in the mail and on Monday I will also submit my 2 weeks notice for my current employer. Good luck !!

Yes I am still in ED, they have enough PPE for all, they have a COVID tent out side for all the respiratory illness. The NP's don't go out there really. but we have face shields, surgical masks, and N95 available so far I haven't had an issue. Providers in the covid tent have PAPRs.

I received an email about my offer yesterday and it includes all the info I need for insurance and benefits and also starting date. I'm going to the VA from a state hospital with good benefits and pay but seriously nothing you can compare to the VA pay and benefits they looks great !

Congratulations!! That’s so exciting. Hopefully I’ll hear something today or just this week. The anticipation is killing me.

Hey! If you are selected for an interview, they will call you. However, it varies from VA to VA how long that wait or your wait in general will be. DON’T QUIT YOUR JOB! Some folks wrote that they were called within one week, for others it took months.
In the meantime, you can write your dimensions!! Search for it here on the forum and get an understanding of what is expected. I googled and found a great template. Good luck to you!

Hi, If you were referred, it means that you were qualified for the job. Next they send all the qualified applicants to the hiring manager who will look at the candidates and interview them. They don't interview all of them, just the most qualified. After that, then they decide to offer you a job.

I have been referred before and not even been called. I would suggest you keep applying until you get that interview call. Best of luck!

Thank you so much for replying! I will continue to apply, and wait LOL
