Thanks guys! I'm glad I'm not alone in this (not that I want y'all to be as freaked as me). That's actually why I wanted in the BACC2 program... it wasn't so much to be through quicker, but because they take into account that you've already got a degree in getting you financial aid. I would LOVE to just do school more than anything in the world. My parents won't co-sign a commercial loan for me as they're trying to retire this year, and my credit sucks due to my husband's poor health a few years back. *sigh* I know I'm griping wayyyy too much. I will definitely make it work somehow. I'll just whine until I figure it out.

You'll get in Ms Sealy!!! I can make a mean pot of ramen noodles and I can do amazing things with a 10lb bag of white rice :-). You are actually good to go on most stuff with your associates, as you should be eligible for the Pell grant. Once you are eligible for that, you're eligible for almost everything else. However, if you're ineligible for the Pell grant, everything else is off-limits too. TheRedOne and I basically can get 12,500 as a stafford loan per year. That's all.

thanks toasterbell...that's good to know about the Pell Grant..

And as far as ramen noodles go...if you chop some mexican velveta up in there we got a gansta meal!

Oh no Ms Sealy you forgot to add the hot dogs to the ramen noodles. I have an Associates and I still qualified for pell grants, stafford and everything else so you should be good to go with financial aid.

Make sure you'll ask about the monthly stipend.

Congrats to everyone with an interview! Mine is tomorrow at 11:30 as well. I will be wearing brown if anyone want to look for me lol!

Hey guys what time is everyone's interview tomorrow...mine is at 4

hopefulbacc2010 : thank you so much for telling me about lonestar. i applied there so i going to take that last class there so that won't hinder my chances of getting in!

I have my interview at 4 tomorrow also!

Jazzy I don't knw bout those hot dogs! What is a monthly "stipend?"

this was the count as of wednesday

1 - 900 (phone interview miss pink)

1 - 915

1 - 1045

3 - 1130

1 - 145

1 - 230

Yeah I'm curious about this 'stipend' thing...?

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one worried about money issues. I'm sure we will all be fine. It will all be worth it one day, we just have to make it happen no matter what.

Good luck tomorrow :-)

Ok so, there is a monthly stipend to nurses students that they are given those trying to get a nursing degree to help with bills so they don't have to work. Its not that much but at this point all counts. Once, you get accepted into the program you can ask the financial advisor about it. (I'm sorry when you get accepted)

Ok, so I have been thinking long and hard about this. I am going to write a letter to the decision making committee to ask them if they will allow students who have interviewed and got accepted but declined if they can nominate a person to give their spot to. I know, so for all of those students that have a close chat room like ours and know someone who didn't get accepted but really want it, maybe they can get it. LOL!!!!!!!!! Iknow they are going to laugh but what the hey? I figure I would try.
