UTMB Spring 2010

OK guys HAS ANYONE HEARD OF ANYONE GETTING AN INTERVIEW?????? I havent. That would be insanity if I got an interview with UT but not UTMB.....UTMB is starting to look like my only choice at this point so I would seriously be checking in to a mental institute if niether wanted me

Are we sure generics got an interview for tomorrow? Why havent ONE of us got one? I have 4.0 Science 3.7 Undergrad. I was a surgical tech for 4 years and currently own a business that involves mental health (which I may be needing after all this).....LOL. I thought for sure UTMB would not be a tough one for me to get into....maybe I stuck my foot in my mouth?

That is weird,how they claim they sent out interviews for the Generic program last week when one person didn't get one!?!?

i dont buy it.....i think they interviewed for Bacc2. Does anyone on here know for a fact that ONE person got an interview for generic tomorrow? Whoever said that they didnt want to be a bummer but interviews for generic are tomorrow.....how do you know that?

UGH!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS INSANE!!!! How come not a single person on this forum got an invite?! I don't know any one who has except for the girl who "supposedly" got one by phone last Wednesday. All of you guys stats are better than mine! I'm only 20 though so it would be kinda hard for me to have so many years of experience doing something in the medical field...but I feel like they're going to hold that against me! I'm about to cry over here!! I have never gotten rejected for anything in my life...and I know I got rejected by UT-H...so getting rejected by UTMB would be a double whammy for me. I don't know if I could handle that!! Maybe because they didn't know about the status of my classes until yesterday I won't get an interview until next Friday? I'm trying to stay positive over here!!

But FYI, in case any of you DONT get an interview...my mom who is a UTMB student has a friend who also applied with a 4.0 and got a rejection letter in the mail. The girl didn't know why she had gotten one because her grades were so good, so she emailed one of the professors there and asked why she didn't get in and the professor was furious with the program and went and talked to someone in admissions about it. The next week she had a letter of acceptence in her mailbox. She said that this happened to a LOT of people last semester. They had made a lot of mistakes about who they weren't letting in to the program. If we don't get one by Friday, I would call...just to know that they didn't make a mistake.

Oh Katielou that sucks, I wish I knew a professor over there.

Even though the SON said interviews were the 6th and thats what they told me as well does NOT mean they actually did it. They have been throwing out dates for months and it hasnt happened. maybe they had intentions of interviewing on the 6th but it never happened. I find ot VERY odd that not one of us got an email....thats why I dont buy it. I am not calling the SON liars by all means but we have to admit they have given us nothing but false dates from the word go. Lets not freak out.....until you start seeing a few of us getting something on this chat room you shouldnt worry.

Katie-I feel you....I got an interview at UT Houston and dont think I will be getting in...a LOT of people got their acceptance emails yesterday and I didnt get anything.

I would be SHOCKED if UTH offered me an interview and not UTMB thats why I am not sure they have started interviewing...just my opinion
