OK guys this is what they responded back to me today:

Erin, interviews are scheduled for November 6, 2009 & November 13, 2009. If you are selected for an interview, you will be sent an e-mail a week before the date.

Have any other Bacc2's gotten an interview invite (other than the first ones Friday?)

ok you guys, if you need to get your shots the health department do all of them for only 15.00 and thats everything, shots are free you just pay a visiting fee.

Your welcome misspink...we take care of our own!

Thank you for the update Emag. There are still being vague about WHO will be interviewed on those dates, cause some of our BACC2 group say their interviews have been back to 11/6. So I'm thinking, the Traditional folks will be later that 11/13 .

Thanks for the info jazzy..That is a great price and I know most folks aren't covered for immunizations on their insurance. When we had open enrollment for insurance at my job last year, I was "slick" and picked an insurance that covers immunizations for adults..no co pay! so I'm all done with mine..just need to retake the ppd before clinicals.

North Harris gives the shots too for $30 bucks. I've attached a link. It's an old flyer so you have to call to find out when they are giving shots again.

Is that where you get all your shots that is required for PVAMU? I am not sure what kind of shots I am missing but can you give me the address to it. Thanks!

Hey Hung, they are located all over Houston. The one I went to was off of Cullen. I couldn't find my shot records so I end up getting all of them. Which was a total of 7 including the TB skin test.

Oh also, you can get your CPR card tuesday-saturday in a 2 1/2 hr class for $40 for those of you still needing CPR certification.

Im trying to look for it, what do I search for on google for an immunization location

Hung,

If you are looking for immunization locations try the health and human resource webpage for the county. Thats were I got mine from and they were $10.00.

jazzynurse2b, is it the health department that's offering the CPR? Also, does anyone know if the Heartsaver first aid, plus CPR and AED counts for CPR? It was an eight-hour course through my work that covered everything they say they need, but it's not specifically for health providers.

Toaster, it should be ok as long as it is registered with the American Red Cross and you have the card for proof. But, no the cpr is not with the health department it is through an agency and the number is713-706-3001.

Thank you!
