UTMB Spring 2010

Hey everyone I know we are all stressed and I know all of us want to go to UTMB :) and hey Nov 6 is only a few weeks away :)

just for my own personal curiosity... does UTMB now require an interview for BSN program students?

I am a UTMB alumni, but we didn't have to interview when I applied.

hi and welcome nursetasher. yes, we must interview before acceptance is granted. also, starting fall 2010 applicants must take the ati exam.

Hey guys, someone in the BSN program now and I asked her how was the program so far and was it disorganized. She told me no and that she loves it, that when she finish she is going to do her masters there. She also told me that the hardest course is pedi. But it is differently do able and she has kids and maintaining a A average. WOW!! She did say she was sleep deprived though.

What semester is she in?

I think she said her 2nd semester

But she did say that the building is having alot of problems and everytime it rains the building go thru some difficulties.

Well I hear the 1st semester is pretty year,ur easiest yr,and the second semester ok.I always hear your hardest semester is ur 3rd.I usually like asking ppl who are alumnis so I can see how each semester is layed out.

Usually the 1st is the hardest because of the nursing application question that you guys will be getting... If you guys dont know how to answer them then it will be hard for some of yall...

2nd semester is pretty chill

3rd semester is pretty insane

hi rocketsson, what is this "nursing application question" of which you speak? is it something we can prepare for?

The lady told me in my interview that it is the way the tests are given. They are application questions rather than definition or straight fact questions. For ex., the answer choices might all be right but you have to know which one is the most important to do first! YIKES! It will be a while new way of studying for sure!
