Nov 7, 201213 yr I thought I would start a thread for those applying to UTA for Fall 2013; AP or on-campus. I will be applying to both and am hoping to find a job at a partnered hospital before the January 5, 2012 deadline.

May 7, 201313 yr One of the girls I work with will be graduating from the UTA AP program next Month and said that the first semester is $7000. Has anyone else heard this?
May 7, 201313 yr Well, the cost of the program is about 18K just for credit hours, I don't believe that covers the cost of book and other materials. I'm guess that cost probably included scrubs, stethoscope, etc.

As that would be cheaper for us in the long run.And ditto Violach, I prefer using regular books instead of ebooks, hope that is the case that they allow us to use regular books, we'll see....

May 7, 201313 yr One of the girls I work with will be graduating from the UTA AP program next Month and said that the first semester is $7000. Has anyone else heard this? This was not my experience. It was less. I won't indicate how much less, but it was quite a bit less. The reason I won't indicate is that your tuition per hour will be different from me. I've been in the AP program since 2010 taking pre-requisites and such, so my per hour rate is less than if you were to be accepted into it today. Some of the things that you'll have to buy above and beyond tuition are the books (e-books or e-books w/printed book bundles), the Skyscape software (some did not buy it JR1), nursing kit (must buy), and scrubs.BTW, someone else asked this, but yes, you can buy your scrubs from where ever you wish, as long as they meet the school's specifications. The only thing for the scrubs you can't buy anywhere but the UTA Bookstore is the patch that you'll have to sew on the top and lab coat (if you are inclined to buy it - I wasn't).Hope this helps,Don
