Just wondering - did anyone use the Study Guide book for Pharm? Wondering if it's worth buying.

Not me, we didn't have time to use it, wasn't required anyway as it was a fast class, 4 weeks.

I was wondering, if I have a Heartsaver CPR AED Certification from AHA that won't expire till 06/2014...will that satisfy our BLS Certification or will I have to retake the course?

I think that would be fine, but I'd email your advisor just to verify if your concerned.

You should be ok, you only need to renew it when it expires in June, 2014

My smartphone broke and I really didn't want to buy a new one but we need a smartphone or pocket PC. Anyone know y? Or any suggestions as to tablet or smartphone?

I'm pretty sure that the BLS is more in depth I wasn't able to use it when I was in Surgical Technologist program and had to take the BLS class

I'm in the fall 2013 cohort. By looking at bkstr.com Home > Textbooks & Course Materials > UTA : Spring 2013 : DYN : NURS : AP BSN Junior 1 : 600, which I assume is similar to what we will need it looks like it will be a couple hundred for just that semester. I'm sure all the details will be ironed out over the summer and in orientation. From reading other posts, it looks like there is a shift toward mostly electronic books, as students were using their phones and ipads in an attempt to study.

Whaaaaaat?! Ugh, I hate ebooks. I like to highlight and take notes in real books.

A friend of mine is in the nursing program at UT Health in Houston. She said they could buy their own scrubs (as long as they are navy blue) and just sew the student patch on. I wonder if we can do the same... probably not. I can't wait for orientation!
