TWU Spring 2010

Is anyone out there applying to TWU for the Spring of 2010? Just thought that I would start a group for all of us hopefuls so we could share information and have a way to communicate with each other.

Have you taken your HESI A2 yet? Have you taken all of your pre-reqs? If not, what do you have left to take?

I have taken all of my pre-reqs, and I just took my HESI yesterday. I didn't think it was bad at all, but I prepared for it for about 3 weeks.

If you haven't noticed, TWU has made some slight changes that I think some people will not be happy with. They are taking into consideration the first grade made at pre-req attempts for several of the classes like A&P, micro, and another class. What do you think of this? I wonder how it will change the applicants chances of getting in?

Good luck and I look forward to meeting you!

hello! i just wanted a little advice...i just got invited for interview at UTMB..and even though that doesn't mean ill get in i just don't know if i should go because i already accepted TWU's offer..what would you do? which school do you think is bettter and why? TWU is more convenient for me but UTMB was always my first choice..

I would go for the interview. Otherwise, you would probably be playing the "I wonder..." or "What if..." game with yourself. Why is UTMB your first choice? I don't know about UTMB's program so I can't help a lot. Definately stay committed to TWU, and if you get the acceptance from UTMB, make your choice then.

I never had the chicken pox vaccine but I had the chicken pox...they aren't going to make me get the vaccine are they or just the blood test?

Oh and I just got off the phone with the Denton campus and they said that they are not sending out the packets to the Houston people until next week...

i went to the open house a couple weekends ago, they didn't let us see the labs or anything, so i was kind of diappointed in the whole thing. the beginning is a bunch of people talking about different things, but its mostly on how to apply, etc. so it wasn't useful

They will want a titer on you. The doctor will draw blood and test it for chicken pox immunity. They will want a copy of the lab report for the varicella titer.

ok guys, i think i'm leaning towards ut health science center for school...does anybody have any reasons why i should choose twu over ut? or if you didn't apply to ut, why not?

I know! Just because we are a newer campus doesn't mean we always have to be last with everything. They should send everything out the same time regardless of the campus.

If you feel UT is the school for you,you should go to UT if that's where you see yourself.UT is a great school too.I didn't apply of UT because I wasn't comfortable with the intense second semester during the summer.Nursing school is ganna be intense, so jumping right into another semester may burn me out haha.I know a lot of people only see themselves in UT,but it wasn't really the school for me.It just all depends on the person.
